Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), also known as medical microneedling is a minimally-invasive skin rejuvenation treatment designed to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and acne scars. This advanced process stimulates the body’s natural collagen production, resulting in visibly younger, smoother and firmer skin. Microneedling is an FDA approved medical device, a leader in the field of microneedling.

How will this treatment improve my skin?

Microneedling is one of the most incredible anti-ageing and firming treatments available. It takes collagen induction to the next level and the results are simply outstanding.

You’ll notice a significant improvement in pore size, skin colour and acne scarring. Fine lines will diminish as collagen is boosted, and you’ll also see experience less skin sensitivity. Microneedling can be safely used very close to the eye area and lips, allowing you to really target these lines and improve the texture and density of crepey skin.

Microneedling is designed to create a safe healing response within the body to ignite natural collagen and elastin production, without the harsh side effects and downtime. This treatment repairs surface layers, resulting in healthier, brighter, tighter, more even toned skin with refined pores and reduced wrinkles.

Your face, lip area, eye area, ears, neck, chest, hands and scalp are all treated with pinpoint precision to promote rapid lifting, firming and toning of facial features and contours. What’s more, the microchannels allow your skin to carry up to 80% more active ingredients which dive deep into your skin to feed and be absorbed by the underlying cells.

 Who is it suitable for?

Collagen Induction Therapy is suitable for most skin types and all skin colours.

What will my skin look like after this treatment?

Your skin may be pink and slightly puffy after treatment, but this will reduce after two to four hours. We recommend you use our calming post-care skincare kit for the next few days before resuming your advanced skincare regime.

How many treatments will I need?

For optimal results, we recommend a course of six treatments spaced four to five weeks apart.

Phase I: Inflammatory. The tissue injury stimulates the immune system to send cells that remove cellular debris and cleanse   the wound while growth factors are released to initate new tissue production. This phase lasts between 1-7 days.

Phase II: Proliferation. Cells (fibroblasts and keratinocytes) multiply to produce collagen, elastin and form new granulation   cells. This phase lasts between 3-14 days.

Phase III: Remodelling. The wound (and once damaged tissue i.e. scar) is repaired with new tissues. This phase lasts between   1-2 weeks to 2 years.

To ensure optimal results from your professional treatments, we will recommend a personalised home care regime based on   your concerns and skin condition.

The purpose of these products will be to prepare your skin for these intensive facial treatments, ensuring you have a strong   barrier and your cells are functioning adequately.
