What Are Facial Peels (Chemical Peels)?

Facial peels Auckland involve the application of a chemical solution to the skin, which exfoliates and eventually peels off.  They involve the application of a chemical solution that exfoliates the outer layers of the skin, promoting the growth of new, healthier skin. Facial peels can address various skin concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and hyperpigmentation.

Types of Facial Peels (Chemical Peels)

At Embreis Beauty, we offer a range of facial peels tailored to your specific skin needs:

  1. Superficial Peels: Also known as lunchtime peels, these are the mildest form of chemical peels. They use alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) or beta-hydroxy acids (BHAs) to gently exfoliate the skin. Superficial peels are ideal for treating mild skin imperfections and improving overall skin tone and texture.

  2. Medium Peels: These peels penetrate deeper into the skin and are effective for treating moderate skin issues such as age spots, fine lines, and acne scars. Medium peels typically use trichloroacetic acid (TCA) to achieve more significant exfoliation.

  3. Deep Peels: Utilizing stronger acids like phenol, deep peels provide the most dramatic results. They are ideal for treating severe skin conditions, including deep wrinkles, extensive sun damage, and pronounced scars. Due to their intensity, deep peels require a longer recovery time.
