Service Description

Microneedling For Acne As the name implies, microneedling pricks your skin with fine needles. To heal the microscopic wounds caused by the needles, your skin creates more collagen during the skin-pricking procedure. The procedure is most effective on sunken acne scars rather than elevated ones. This is because microneedling is collagen-inducing and elevated scars already have too much collagen. Unlike other minimally invasive skin correction treatments like laser therapy, microneedling is considered safe for darker skin tones. This is due to the fact that it does not harm or remove the outer layer of skin. Does Microneedling Help Rosacea? Rosacea produces redness and blemishes on the skin. While microneedling isn’t a cure-all, it can significantly improve rosacea-related discolouration. In fact, it may be more efficient than other treatment techniques. Microneedling stimulates the epidermis, reducing the appearance of vessels beneath the skin and overall redness, while also reinforcing collagen in vessel walls and connective tissue that supports the vessels. If you have pustular acne, you may not be a good candidate for microneedling as it is a contraindication. Do speak to your dermatologist about your specific type of rosacea. How Long Does It Take To See Results From Microneedling? One of the numerous benefits of this treatment is that patients usually notice some results within a week, with more drastic outcomes developing over the next few weeks. The body responds to the tiny pricks in the skin by making new collagen and elastin, which prompts the body to begin repairing itself. The extra collagen helps to smooth, firm, and otherwise improve the skin, but because collagen production can take several weeks to ramp up, it will take some time for you to see complete results. The time it takes for you to see results will also be determined by the cosmetic problem you’re trying to solve. For example, if you want to reduce the look of acne scars, you may require four to six treatments, each spaced four to six weeks apart, and it could take six months to a year for your full effects to appear. Your expert Skin Therapist at Embreis beauty will be able to offer you an estimate of when your results will appear after visitining us.
